ortho software sucks.com
why us

the whole
story.

practice software fights you a little more every year. here's why it's like that, and what we did instead.

how we got here

it all traces back to one 1980s program.

the first orthodontic software shipped in the 1980s, on computers that weighed half a ton and cost a fortune. it was genuinely great, and the whole industry adopted it.

then the engineers who built it left to start their own companies. the engineers they hired did the same a few years later. and so on. every ortho system you can buy today traces back to that same 1980s ancestor.

one tell: screens in the 1980s were small and square. we work on wide screens now, but the software is still laid out for a square monitor. they just stretch the notes box to fill the gap. all that room in front of your front desk, your treatment coordinator, your chairside, doing nothing.

count the clicks it takes to do the things you do a hundred times a day. that number was decided in 1987.

so we started over

we asked the best practices what they wanted, then built exactly that.

instead of taking a few decent ideas and bolting them onto the software everyone already knew, we went to the busiest practices in the country and asked what they actually wanted. practices with 15 chairs seeing 250+ patients a day at a single location.

at that volume every second adds up, so this is built to save all of them: one system that runs the whole practice hyper-efficiently, at a fraction of the cost of the seven separate softwares those offices used to stitch together.

the best practices use only what works, so the bulk just isn't there. you know the sales line: “doctor, you're only using 10% of this software.” that's because the other 90% is decades of features kept for every office that ever thought its workflow was special. here, less isn't a compromise. it's the whole idea.

one click from anything

open a chart and everything's already there.

it doesn't sound like much until you watch your team try it. no toolbar safaris, no switching windows to finish one task.

a clean chart

customizable statuses, procedure codes, and menus, with none of the labels other offices keep that you'll never touch. nothing to scroll past.

the whole screen, used

modern screens are wide. we use all of it, so everything you need sits in one view instead of a stretched-out notes box filling dead space.

three screens, that's it

chart, info, ledger. each is exactly what it sounds like. easy to learn, easy to train, easy to move between.

a ledger that explains itself

the why behind every number, not just the what, so your team handles other people's money with accuracy and a little grace.

texts, emails & payment links

built in, not bolted on. send it and it posts straight to the chart, ledger, or info screen on its own.

booking that lands on the schedule

patients book themselves online and it drops straight into the office. no second system to keep in sync.

the part everyone's nervous about

ai where it helps. a human where it matters.

we use ai for the repetitive work it's genuinely good at: verifying insurance eligibility, posting bulk insurance payments to the right ledger, and drafting patient data and contracts from what you already have.

we also know exactly where it fails. ai will make a confident, wrong call the moment it's missing context or judgment. so anywhere it touches a patient's record or their money, a human signs off before anything sticks. fast where it's safe. careful where it counts.

what it costs

one flat fee, however big you get.

every system in this industry prices you by the exact thing you're trying to grow. per chair. per provider. per location. per seat. add a chair and the invoice moves. hire an associate and it moves again. have a good year and you pay more for the same software you had in january.

we charge one flat fee. as many chairs, doctors, locations, and logins as you want, all of it included. a 15-chair practice seeing 250 a day pays what a 4-chair practice pays, which means the math only gets better the bigger you are.

that's deliberate. we built this for the busiest practices in the country, and we'd rather earn the ones that are actually growing than quietly tax them for it. you should never have to think about the bill before you add a chair.

unlimited chairs

add a chair, open an operatory, run a second column on a busy day. the invoice doesn't move.

unlimited logins

every doctor, coordinator, assistant, and front desk gets their own account. shared logins are how mistakes happen.

every module included

texting, online booking, forms, contracts, payment links, insurance, marketing, phones. nothing sold back to you later.

we don't charge you more just because you're making more.

the honest part

it's not for everyone. on purpose.

happy with how you work?

then don't change a thing. we mean it. we're glad it's working, and we're not for you.

want software shaped around exactly what you do today?

a traditional system, molded to your existing process, will fit you better than we will.

want to run the way the top practices run?

and you know learning their tools is how you get there? that's who we built this for. if you're already there, we won't have to say a word. you'll see it and know.

when you're busy, seconds and minutes matter. this is a precision tool for the practices that feel that.

want to see it?

one login for scheduling, messaging, billing, insurance, marketing, and phones. one flat fee, no matter how many chairs. built by practicing orthodontists, not sold to them.
